Cheraw Healthcare Residents are admitted
Monday through Friday before 2:00 P.M.
New residents to Cheraw Healthcare are admitted on the availability of the appropriate vacancies. Admissions are made Monday through Friday before 2:00 p.m. with weekend admissions accepted only in exceptional cases.
Prior to admission, each resident must have a current diagnosis, mini-mental if necessary, PASARR, medical history and physical examination by their physicians, chest x-ray or TB skin test, and admitting orders; which include diet, medications, treatments and recommended activities.
The physician will specify the appropriate level of care, allergies, and rehab potential, summary and course of treatment from the discharge facility. Residents unable to identify themselves will be provided with an identification wristband.
Residents and their family are encouraged to make their rooms "home-like" by hanging pictures, moving furniture, etc. as long as all policies and regulations are met. Our staff will assist with this as much as possible.
